In addition, 12,600 GPUs will be deployed at the Start Campus data center in Sines, Portugal, from the first quarter of 2026. These installations are just part of Nscale’s wider ambitions to offer sovereign-grade AI infrastructure in the European Union.

Expansion Plans and Infrastructure Growth

Aside from the initial deployments, Nscale has plans to develop its infrastructure significantly. The Texas location is set to reach a 1.2-gigawatt capacity in 2027, with Microsoft exercising an option for another 700 megawatts from late 2027. In addition, Nscale is building the UK’s largest Nvidia AI supercomputer in its Loughton AI Campus, which will be home to around 23,000 GPUs by 2027

Financial Backing and IPO Prospects

To fund its aggressive growth, Nscale has raised significant capital, most recently a $1.1 billion funding round in September 2025, followed by a further $433 million. This capital raise has taken the valuation of
With strong investor confidence and a sound financial base, Nscale is contemplating a possible public offering as early as late 2026.

Industry Implications and Market Dynamics

This strategic partnership of Nscale with Microsoft showcases the growing need for cutting-edge AI infrastructure. The use of 200,000 GPUs is a reflection of the sector’s willingness to scale up AI capabilities. Nvidia’s inclusion, in collaboration with the likes of Dell Technologies and Nokia, signifies the collaborative movement behind the transformation of AI infrastructure.

The agreement also places Nscale to take advantage of the growing AI market, with estimates suggesting that AI infrastructure spending may hit $400 billion in the next several years Reuters. Through obtaining significant GPU allocations and increasing its data center presence, Nscale is poised to respond to the accelerating requirements of AI applications around the world.

Nscale’s $14 billion deal with Microsoft is a watershed moment in the AI infrastructure industry. With strategic rollout, heavy financial support, and an evident roadmap to going public, Nscale is well-positioned to take center stage in defining the future of AI infrastructure. With the demand for AI capabilities persistently climbing, deals such as this will prove critical to addressing the computing requirements of the next wave of AI applications.
