In a stunning move that could reshape India’s digital banking scene, neobanking startup Jupiter has raised Rs 115 crore from its existing investors, including Mirae Asset Venture Investments, BEENEXT, and 3one4 Capital. Founder Jitendra Gupta also participated personally, signaling strong internal confidence in the company’s next growth phase. With this funding, Jupiter is setting its sights on becoming cash positive within two years, leaving behind years of aggressive expansion and investment.
Jupiter’s Bold Mission to Reinvent Banking
Founded in 2019, Jupiter has quickly established itself as a full-stack digital banking platform, offering everything from savings accounts, credit cards, and loans to UPI payments, investments, and insurance. The startup also operates an NBFC arm to provide personal loans and has secured RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI approvals, giving it the credibility to scale rapidly across multiple financial services.
According to Gupta, the new capital will primarily be used to achieve operational profitability, ensuring that Jupiter can sustain growth without needing additional funding.
Explosive User Growth Signals Market Confidence
Jupiter now boasts over 3 million registered users, with 60% actively using its platform. Around one in four active users engage with multiple products, demonstrating strong adoption across Jupiter’s integrated offerings. Its Account Aggregator feature alone has surpassed 1 million active users, showing that customers are embracing the convenience of a unified financial platform.
The fintech’s co-branded credit card with CSB Bank has issued more than 1.5 lakh cards, with users averaging 24 monthly transactions, indicating robust engagement and growing trust in Jupiter’s services.
Revenue Boom and Narrowing Losses
Jupiter’s growth trajectory is remarkable. Operating revenue surged more than sevenfold, rising from Rs 7.1 crore in FY23 to Rs 51.2 crore in FY24. At the same time, net losses fell by 23% to Rs 233.6 crore, signaling that the startup is moving closer to profitability.
This revenue surge is a strong indicator that Jupiter’s product strategy is paying off, with users actively engaging across savings, lending, and investment services.
Strategic Moves to Expand Services
Jupiter recently obtained a prepaid payment instrument licence and a direct insurance broking licence, enabling it to expand into digital wallets and insurance distribution. These strategic moves are central to Jupiter’s mission to become India’s go-to platform for all financial needs.
Backed by Heavyweight Investors
Jupiter has attracted significant investment from some of the largest names in venture capital, including QED Investors, Peak XV Partners, Tiger Global, and Matrix Partners. To date, the company has raised over $150 million, and this latest round reinforces investor confidence in Jupiter’s ability to scale profitably.
Competing in a Rapidly Expanding Market
India’s neobanking ecosystem is heating up, with competitors like Fi Money, Open Financial Technologies, NiYO Solutions, and FamPay vying for market share. Jupiter is differentiating itself with AI-driven personal finance tools, a comprehensive product suite, and a focus on lending expansion.
If Jupiter achieves its target of doubling its user base and reaching operational breakeven within 24 months, it could emerge as a dominant force in India’s digital banking sector, changing the way millions manage money digitally.
What This Means for the Future
Jupiter’s bold growth strategy, coupled with strong investor backing and an expanding user base, positions the startup as a key player poised to disrupt India’s financial landscape. The next two years will be critical as the company works to turn revenue growth into sustainable profitability.
With Rs 115 crore in fresh funding, a rapidly growing user base, and ambitious expansion plans, Jupiter is not just chasing growth—it’s aiming to transform India’s digital banking market from the inside out.
